Studio Life

Summer is in full swing and 'Freedom Day' has seen more people out and about. We are fully open in the Studios and we have new Tenants for you to see and more things to look at. There s a wide variety of art and craft items on show, and there is always an artist or maker in residence for you to have a chat with. However, please note that whilst we are fully open, the usual Covid restrictions still apply to us. That means you will need to wear a mask and still sign in and sanitise when you arrive.

Personally I've been very busy with my latest round of local sketches. I have also been working hard on the iPad with a view to running courses again at the Haworth some time after September as I want to see how things go first. I also took my sketching kit on our holiday to Mumbles in South Wales. Here are a few examples of my latest work. You can see more in my studio or my various Social Media streams.

Catherine Lansdale

Catherine continues to run her online courses alongside her face to face offering. These have started again at the Haworth with the usual restrictions in place. If you want to book a spot on one of her sessions then please get in touch with her on her Facebook page, website or pop into the studio to discuss the variety of offerings she has.

Her latest sessions have included work with Quink Ink and bleach, black and white work and lavender fields in a variety of media.

Here are a few examples of her students work.

Catherine still enjoys her regular life drawing classes which she attends weekly.

She says if you want painting in the nude, she is quite happy to do it but she would like to keep her socks on!

Remember that Catherine is still producing her portraits on a commission basis. If you want to discuss a piece with her you know what to do!

Quirkyfrogstudio

It's been a busy few months at quirkyfrogstudio. We've made bespoke cushions for camper vans and a fabulous Worzel Gummidge outfit for Just Imagine entertainment company. The card orders keep flying in, including a lot of orders for bespoke cards which are always fun to make!

In July, we were at Holden Clough Nurseries for one of their summer craft fairs, which we'll be at again on Sunday 22nd August. It's a fabulous place to visit so maybe we might see you there!

Quirkyfrog are always happy to discuss bespoke creations and they have made some very creative cards as one off's. Pop into their studio to have a look or contact them through their various Social Media Streams.

Since the last post there have been a few new tenants move into the Studios, so there is lots to have a look at. There are now 16 artists and creators when we are all in, so please feel free to drop in when you are visiting the Haworth, we are always open and don't keep the same hours as the Gallery.
